When visitors come by, Lohwana Halaq, the Filipino-Canadian animal caretaker at the Philippine Eagle Foundation, often receives questions about the appearance of the Philippine Eagle. She is surprised that many of them are unaware that the majestic bird is featured on the country's P1,000 banknote.
Additionally, Filipino visitors frequently ask her about the whereabouts of the Philippine Eagle, even though it is right beside her, perched on her arm. Amused by their confusion, she narrates how she points to the eagle, named Sinag, and playfully tells them, "You are staring at the Philippine Eagle!"
