MTRCB Calls It's Showtime Hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez Over Alleged Issue
Inatasan ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) ang mga producer ng It's Showtime na dumalo upang magbigay-linaw hinggil sa mga reklamo tungkol sa "Isip Bata" segment ng programa. Ayon sa inilabas na pahayag sa kanilang social media pages noong Lunes, Hulyo 31, naglabas ang MTRCB ng abiso sa mga producer, kung saan inaanyayahan silang dumalo at tumestigo hinggil sa alegasyon ng hindi kanais-nais na pagkilos ng mga host na sina Vice Ganda at Ion Perez noong Hulyo 25 episode.
Bagaman hindi eksaktong mga detalye ng segment ang binanggit ng MTRCB, ipinakita sa isang video mula sa Hulyo 25 episode na magkasamang masayang kumakain ng cake sina Vice Ganda at Ion. Makikitang ginagayak ni Vice Ganda ang icing mula sa daliri ni Ion nang pabiro at binati ito ng "Maligayang monthsary."

Ang pagdinig hinggil sa usaping ito ay nakatakdang gawin noong Hulyo 31, 10 am, sa opisina ng MTRCB sa Timog Avenue, Quezon City. Sa kasalukuyan, wala pang anumang pahayag na inilabas ang ABS-CBN at It's Showtime tungkol sa isyung ito.
Ito ay hindi ang unang pagkakataon na hiniling ng MTRCB ang pagdalo ng It's Showtime. Noong Oktubre 2015, tinawag ang programa upang talakayin ang mga "gender sensitivity concerns" matapos ang mga reklamo tungkol sa kanilang "Pastillas Girl" segment. Bukod pa rito, noong Agosto 2014, tinawag ng board ang programa dahil sa mga aksyon ni Vice Ganda sa "Gandang Lalaki" segment.
Kumpirmado nina Vice Ganda at Ion ang kanilang relasyon noong 2019, at noong Pebrero 2022, ibinunyag nilang nag-engage sila noong Pebrero 2020 at nagsagawa ng wedding commitment ceremony sa Las Vegas noong Oktubre 2021.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has called in the producers of It's Showtime in response to complaints regarding the show's "Isip Bata" segment. According to a press release posted on their social media pages on Monday, July 31, the MTRCB issued a notice to the producers, summoning them to appear and testify about alleged indecent acts by the hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez during the July 25 episode.
The MTRCB stated that this scene from the "Isip Bata" segment violates Section 3 (c) of Presidential Decree No. 1986, which grants the board the authority to approve, disapprove, delete objectionable portions from, and/or prohibit the importation, exportation, production, copying, distribution, sale, lease, exhibition, and/or television broadcast of motion pictures, television programs, and publicity materials.
The hearing regarding this matter is scheduled for July 31 at 10 am, to be held at the MTRCB office in Timog Avenue, Quezon City. As of now, ABS-CBN and It's Showtime have not issued any statements regarding the issue.
Vice Ganda and Ion confirmed their relationship in 2019, and in February 2022, they revealed that they got engaged in February 2020 and had a wedding commitment ceremony in Las Vegas in October 2021.
Although the specific details of the segment were not mentioned by the MTRCB, a clip from the July 25 episode showed Vice Ganda and Ion being affectionate while sharing a cake. Vice Ganda was seen playfully taking icing from Ion's fingers and greeting him with a "Happy monthsary."
